The home run derby will be held May 31st starting at 9am.  This will be held at the fairgrounds on the old baseball diamond from years ago!  Not only will this derby be amazing but it will be loaded with professional players!

RULES AND REGULATIONS AT THE BOTTOM

Kirk Rueter and other former MLB players will be tossing you the ball to get your home runs!!!

Bret Boone, Dave Veres, Orlando Hudson, Dave Doster, Collin Balester and others will be stepping up to the plate and taking part of this contest also!  Do you have what it takes to hang with the big guys?  Now is your chance!!!

On top of this rare opportunity, the kids are able to partake as well and shag balls the entire time and get photos and an autograph with players after this event finishes!  

Contestants have a chance to win cold hard cash!!!  We will have 3 winners with the following prizes.

  • 1st - Trophy and $300 cash
  • 2nd - $150 cash
  • 3rd - $50 cash

There will be three (3) rounds to this home run derby.

  • 1st Round - 10 outs for your turn.  An out occurs every time you swing and the ball does not consist of a home run.  If you swing and no contact it will contend to a three strike rule.  If a pitch goes by and is not swung out the pitch does not count against you.
  • 2nd Round - The top 10 from round 1 will advance to this round.  There will be 10 outs for your turn.  An out occurs every time you swing and the ball does not consist of a home run.  If you swing and no contact it will contend to a three strike rule.  If a pitch goes by and is not swung out the pitch does not count against you.
  • 3rd Round - Top three batters that made it through round 1 and round 2 with the total of home runs will advance to this final round.  This round will consist of 10 outs again for your turn.  An out occurs every time you swing and the ball does not consist of a home run.  If you swing and no contact it will contend to a three strike rule.  If a pitch goes by and is not swung out the pitch does not count against you.

***TIE BREAKER PROCEDURES

If a tie would happen to occur, each batter will receive 10 pitches each until a winner is determined.

*Spots are limited for the home run derby for batters.

*Parents will need to be present for the kids shagging balls.
